I guess despite the hate it gets here, Mushoku Tensei is undeniably popular still.
Undead Murder Farce seems to be more appreciated than I thought. I really enjoyed the episodes Chiaki J. Konaka did and it was nice to see his return to anime after so long. I thought it was a sleeper hit myself. Kind of sad to see Devil is a Part Timer kind of low. I was one of the people hoping for it's return for so long but I guess people had moved on. |

To be honest this is the only anime site I visit that has an extreme hate boner for Mushoku Tensei. All the other sites I visit are a lot more positive. They do acknowledge and debate the more controversial aspects of the show but this is the only place I have seen with long hate filled name calling rants. So you should probably think of ANN as an anomaly when it comes to MT.

As one of the people particularly critical of MT, I've never believed it was unpopular; the criticisms for the most part don't really imply much about its popularity. Although, I think this season of anime has been pretty weak, which probably helped this season of MT a bit, and it does look like MT's per-episode ranking dropped dramatically mid-season, which is where most of the criticism was strongest, if that corresponds to the episode or two I'm recalling.
A little surprised Bungo Stray Dogs did so well, but I guess it has always been decently written and produced; just never hooked me. Disappointed though not really surprised Sacrificial Princess was down at # 7; it was a surprise gem. Kind of ambivalent yet surprised that JJK didn't rank above # 6; the return to the present has been kind of underwhelming, but the prequel arc was pretty standout---thought it would assure JJK higher placement. |

I normally claim JJK its Bleach 2.0, but, when I say that I mean Bleach up to Hueco Mundo.
In nowhere in hell its JJK marginally better than current Bleach. |

This could be taken a few different ways. Not better at all? Substantially better? I prefer Bleach myself, for the record. |

i think there is some critics everywhere but on sites like reddit they get downvoted to oblivion. MT was always popular among the users of ANN so it's not surprising. I expected the first 6 shows on the cumulative ranking, they have been consistently praised. The surprise is Dark Gathering that have rose a lot through the rankings, maybe it's a show deserving to be watched more but had a bad beginning. |

Substantially better. I quite frankly thought JJK was more popular, looks like I was wrong. Not that I care quite frankly, this season I only liked Bungo and Murder Face. |

Well, this is just one site's rankings, but if we go off the sales of the manga JJK has a ways away to catch up to Bleach. Although I suppose it is impressive given how long Bleach's anime was off the air and requiring people to have watched it up until the current arc. Perhaps ANN just skews an older audience. |

Glad to see RK in the top 10 despite all the stupid hate it gets from people not able to seperate the art from the artist. And the way its going it'll only climb higher. So much for not even including it in the preview guide.

It's not actually in the top 10 for cumulative rankings, though..
