Macross: Shooting Insight will release on PS4, PS5, Nintendo Switch, and Steam this January 25th, 2024.

Well, if it comes on Steam and isn't online multiplayer, it shouldn't be impossible for fans to 'patch/mod' to restore it, and considering the popularity of the franchise, I'd be surprised if someone didn't at least attempt...
It actually might be fairly easy to do, the Macross stuff in the game is released as dlc in Japan, so someone simply needs to port that dlc to be compatible with the English release.

Too bad for console players though...

That's the most disappointing Switch variant yet. With the amount of colors and aesthetics Wonder has, it could have been so much better.

Dang, I thought most of the Macross license garbage had been resolved with all the upcoming BD releases. Guess I'll probably have to import it if things go as expected :/

Why did this week's TWIG come out 2 days later than normal?

(not for no good reason, I am not sure if they have a shopping cart for their storefront yet).

They do.

I think I gotta go back and read the discourse over the storefront when it originally launched cause this one I don’t remember.

Haven’t they done this though. I remember Sunshine having a touching moment with Bowser & Bowser Jr when he revealed the truth of Jr having no mother. And I remember there being a promotional thing with Bowser & Bowser Jr touting child settings on the Switch or something other

the issue is likely with DYRL and that film's production as toho has been a thorn EVEN IN japan so with that unsolved long term there was no paying HG for the bits they own (copyrighted in us) from the film.

There's also the fact that, as per the deal between HG & Big West (& was made a big deal of by people about a month ago, when an old tweet about the agreement resurfaced), the original SDF Macross cast can't appear in any new Macross productions outside of Japan, as HG has the license to them. So while Minmay can appear in new Macross games in Japan (where Big West have all the rights), she will more than likely be 100% removed from any international releases, since HG have the rights to her.

It sucks, but it's something we'll just have to deal with since it's part of what even allows Big West to finally promote & release anything Macross outside of Japan now.

Especially when the regular Switch has its own Mario variant where the first reaction is "that's a lot of red." They aren't exactly the same, but at first glance I did think that they just took the same thing and applied it to the OLED.

Depends on the online component. I mod Master Duel to be uncensored myself and have no issues.
