Crunchyroll will be streaming Love Live! Sunshine!! in the UK! http://www.uk-anime.net/newsitem/Crunchyroll_to_stream_Love_Live!_Sunshine_in_the_UK_courtesy_of_Anime_Limited.html Glad we finally have a way to watch it here & Crunchyroll is my method of choice so extra good news for me.
& the seiyuu have also performed live together. These clips are from their debut performance in January. I think they did a great job considering it was their first performance together & they were singing & dancing at the same time. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3PtFhOvrbOM |

Will this anime feature characters from the original? I'm only asking out of concern for the dub cast returning.

I'm super excited for this series and glad that Funimation got Love Live! Sunshine!! since hopefully that means that Sunshine!! will get the simudub treatment this summer.

Nothing has been announced yet. I'd assume they won't feature that much more than they did in the PV (ie their performances on a screen). They'll want Aqours to stand on their own & constantly having Muse show up could undermine that. Although I wouldn't be too shocked if Muse show up in the 2nd season/movie or something. |

I'm just finding myself really skeptical about this franchising of the LoveLive! brand. I know I will probably end up checking out this series eventually (especially if it's released through Funimation) - and maybe even liking it - but right now I just can't help feeling like it's a hasty do-over.
The cast list in the article reads to me pretty much like: the Honoka, the Umi, the Eli, the Maki, the Rin, the Nozomi, the Hanayo, the Kotori (maybe sort of), and the... other (who does not sound particularly like Nico, but eh). I'll be keeping an eye on this show, but I'm just not that enthusiastic about a rehashed cast and setting every couple of years. :/ |

This [expletive] screams Otaku bait. Just some moe girls doing moe stuff and the otakus go literally insane...

Well, I'm looking forward to watching Love Live Sunshine. Sure, the story may be similar to that of μ's, but there could be a few twists here and there that could make the venture an exciting watch.
