Proof that the Japanese have a very similar sense of humor to we in the US! So much for reservation of expression...

I predict this will be a huge success at the box office.

Japan already has a Jaws knock-off film (albeit it was low budget but still...) that came out in 2009. I don't see how this Sharknado knock-off is any different.

This movie should do a collaboration with Dead Mount Death Play.

Jaws in Japan just traded off the name Jaws, and was mostly about girls in bikinis frolicking in the surf, a human serial killer and a maybe/may not be giant shark. This looks like a full on comic parody of Sharknado and SNL's "Land Shark" infused with Airplane! vibes. So based on just the trailers, yeah, I'd say they're very different. This looks low-budget hilarious, while JiJ just looks bottom-of-the-barrel stupid.

correct me if i'm wrong but the project would be 233% funded and not 1,140% funded if the initial goal was to reach 4,890,000 yen and the movie received 11,406,100 yen

This needs to be available for streaming or theater release here.
