Fun episode guys. I really liked the discussion on Darling in the Franxx. For some reason I had not associated Magus' Bride with the shoujo genre. Now the show's slow burn pace and plot make sense. Thanks for clarifying that for me Jacob.

I believe someone said that Darling in the FranXXX will be 24 episodes. If it follows the EVA model, it will have 22 episodes of varied, intense but inconclusive action followed by two episodes of philosophical musing on the concept that "sex is good". This would then be followed by a movie in which Hiro destroys the entire plantation system by simply deciding that he doesn't like it. It would end by his being soundly rejected by 002 when he attempts to have sex with her.

It only seemed to start last week. Direct download was fixed. From what we determined last week it seemed to only affect people in Australia(unconfirmed). It's not just itunes other podcast apps have the same issue. I've tried unsubscribing and resubscribing for the rss feed with no luck. |

It will try to download for awhile but then an error message pops up: “Unable to download podcast. ANNCast could not be downloaded at this time.” I have rebooted my phone as well as unsubscribed then re-subscribed. Neither fixed the issue. I can stream from the site so no big deal. Just wanted to see if others were having he same issue. |

My guess is that Darling in the Franxx doesn't go to a direction that interests Jacob or Zac. To give a concrete prediction, I give a 0.85 probability that Zac stops following it weekly in the next 10 weeks.

Hi long term UK listener here, great show BTW.
iTunes podcast app not downloading this for me either, previous episode also didn’t work. Only way I can access now is from the webpage. I’ve never had this problem before. I’ve tried multiple devices, unsubscribing then subscribing again I think this might be a fairly widespread problem. |

I tried with "Podcast Player" and got an unknown error Then I tried with "CastBox", and it worked If you're getting an error, what software are you using? |

Zac was on fire this week, very funny stuff!
As a self-titled world's foremost expert in CGDCT™ series, I think Jacob just didn't want to admit that it's the best way to describe these shows when he was looking for a new genre title. Shirobako is just cute girls making cute anime while dealing with their day to day lives. Don't think too hard about it, CGDCT is just a more varied and thematically rich genre than you wanted to admit :-p |
