Heck, you don't even have to button mash, you just hold down A and they'll do their basic attacks.

The skills are super fun though. Some of the classes have ones that are really good to pair together, so you can unleash combos (or even use all 3 moves in a row for a big combo) and it means you're doing more than just spamming A button.

I'm looking forward to the full game, though I don't know if I'll be rushing out to get it. The demo was entertaining and all the classes were surprisingly fun to play.

I will say, the princess is kinda annoying in how she talks alllll the time at the base. Telling you that story about the bad storm. Kinda wished she'd shut up.

Farmer best girl because her jp voice is so adorable.....she's so cute...Fighter runner up (she's voiced in JP by Sailor Moon's VA lol)

Dammit. So we can't pet the cows.

BTW...

Where XSeed once innovated upon Story of Seasons by turning it into an RPG, Xseed now boldly takes further steps to make a much more involved RPG, divorced from sim elements or the friendships customarily found in their hallowed farm sim series.

This game and its predecessors were developed by Marvelous, so technically they're the ones who made the changes. XSeed only handled its localization and publishing.

Y'know, in hindsight, I feel like I ought to have mentioned that. I was surprised to find I could attack by just holding "A", sure cuts down on the repetitive motion stress.

Also, the Pugilist is my favorite because she's voiced by Erica Lindbeck. Very Happy

The Farmer is my favorite because she's voiced by Megan Harvey, who I really wish was more well known because she's great!

Thanks for bringing that to my attention; a quick glance reveals she was in Rune Factory 5 and has been around since at least the 2008 FFIV remake (she voiced one of the Palom/Porom twins). I'll keep an ear out for her from now on! She definitely won me over with the Farmer's "OM NOM NOM" noises Anime hyper
