A late-night Palworld anime or OVA would be nice to see down the line.

I'd be down for an anime (even if short episodes). Also Lifmunk merch please. I got $ and I need lifmunk plush in my life.

Kind of unexpected given the very bootleg-ish, asset-flip nature of the source material. It will be interesting if backing from a larger company could shine and polish this in to rivaling something like Digimon.

I can imagine TPC will see this in court should they attempt to distribute outside of Japan…

I see Pokemon fans are still being completely normal about this even 6 months later...
But congrats for the Palworld team. Seems like a nice success story for the small time devs. I wonder what we'll see in the future. |

As a Digimon fan I have to say Palworld is doing better than Digimon is right now at least in terms of video games. There's been radio silence on all fronts for the franchise after the last Bandai Namco presentation. I'm sure they wished Survive did half as well as Palworld did. And I doubt whenever the new Story game they promised us 5 years ago comes out will do much better. I'm eager to see what Pocketpair does with additional support from bigger companies and more financing potentially. I just hope it doesn't lose a lot of its soul or roots in the process. I wonder if people are being confused by the anecdotal paragraph at the end of the article here.. TPC did not say they were taking legal action against Palworld. They put out a statement to tell people they received people's complaints because so many Pokemon fan were spamming their social media and email boxes begging them to do something about Palworld due to how popular it was and fans perceived it as a violation of their fandom. It was more of a message begging people to stop bothering them about it. Stephen Totilo had an interview with the Pocketpair last month and confirmed that they haven't heard a peep out of Nintendo at all. |
