Looks like an interesting experiment. Of course it'll still be a little rough at this point, but few more years and more innovation on the field and it'll be interesting to see what they can accomplish.

the one cut of the dead cinematographer? you mean the movie that serves as a love letter to human made art and the trials that artists go through to see their creative vision come to fruition? that one cut of the dead? not ironic at all.

I'd love to know what being a "director" entails within the scope of a completely AI generated film.

Not completely, the scripts weren't created by AI, just the video, audio and music. And you still need a director to realize an intended vision and have all the elements come together in the final output.

Is this one even licensable? Monetizing this shit will just attract lawsuits especially since the video was entirely created using stolen material.

Take that Ayu avatar off, you shouldn't be repping actual art while talking about how plagiarized AI sludge is "interesting".

(Emphasis added.) Just gonna leave this here so everyone can read that that "improvement" almost certainly isn't gonna happen: https://www.wheresyoured.at/pop-culture/

Hello, after months of lurking I have created this account just to be able to comment this.

Whenever there is any news on / about "AI" I always go the the comments on it and scroll down to see whether you will be there to defend it against other users of the forums. I always find you there without fail.

The sooner you accept that AI is disliked, alienating, almost always ugly, came to be only by the gray zones in the current copyright laws, does not have any benefits big enough to make up for it's downsides and because of the rightful dislike it gets can't used normally and has to be used in this wish-washy "art statement" films in an attempt to make up for it's flaws but people involved with it often lack an foundation understanding in arts of their own so always falls short and never end up being impactful or meaningful and in the end turns out to be a being a slide of colors of shape, the better.

You are not making anyone switch to your side by demeaning others abandon their feelings about it using "reasons" and "logic"; like "It will not look shitty in XX amount of years" or "The model it was build on was made ethically, the director for the film that had several companies that are being sued for that sponsor it said so". Just accept the fact that every good statement about AI always has a giant "BUT" next to it.

Also, developments in AI pretty much plateaued. This does not look any better than it did a year ago, just like how the people worked on it did not gained any skill while doing so their work will not either.

That's why AI art already has millions of people making, or following it.
