From the tone of the question and its sarcastic use of ALL CAPS, am I to understand that wallscrolls aren't cool anymore? Does that mean I have to take down these beauties?

Wall scrolls abound! Their appeal has always eluded me, sadly. Can they serve any purpose if you are not permitted to hammer nails into your walls, as is typical for rented housing? At least posters can be applied to doors or woodwork, wherein the risk of adhesive tack leaving permanent stains is reduced.

Cool or not, I'm keeping mine.
Only thing I changed a while back was to replace a scroll bootleg with a framed legit poster of the same thing, Ghost in the Shell comic cover 8.

Whatever you think of her performance in Anonymous Noise, saying Saori Hayami can't sing goes too far for me. I think she did a good job on both of the Snow White with the Red Hair OPs and someone must think she can sing, given all the theme song and insert song performances she is credited with. Admittedly I like her voice so that may affect my opinion of her singing.
For shows I regret not finishing, it would definitely be Wolf's Rain. I saw a few episodes 6-7 years ago and wasn't into it, but I heard good things after that, so when I saw it on Hulu I added it to my queue. However, by the time I got around to it, it had expired . I'll have to get it on disk to see it when I have room in my budget.
You could still get into One Piece, but it will take a lot of time. I caught up myself a year ago, though that took 11 months (I was also catching up on Detective Conan simultaneously).

Wallscrolls are really light and hardly require genuine nails; a thumbtack would suffice, and you could probably fill that hole when you move out easily enough. I think those adhesive plastic hooks that are sticky on one side would work too.
In the 90s, I liked that they were a different medium -- fabric instead of paper -- and they could move a little in the wind and it's fine. I'm over the novelty now, but they're fine with the other pop culture junk in our basement.
Big change that I can see is that instead of just having a dozen or so wallscrolls from popular series produced with legit licenses by Great Eastern and sold at cons, nowadays it must be trivially easy for bootleggers to crank them out. That Aeris I posted above from FF7 Advent Children is almost certainly a knockoff. In fact, search for "re:zero wall scroll" on Amazon and you'll find like 100 from various sellers, and I doubt they're all legit. Hell, I can look for something obscure like Rumbling Hearts and there are 20 listings, and the market for that title as a wallscroll consists entirely of one person (me), so it's not like they're from a legitimate GE production run; more likely it's just copy-and-paste of key art found on the internet.

I suspected that the Utena movie was Zac's favorite Ikuhara thing. It is certainly a visual feast but compared to the complexity and deepness of the tv series, the movie is too shallow and silly. My favorite Ikuhara things are:
1. Utena (tv series)
2. Penguindrum
3. Sailor Moon S
4. Yuri Kuma Arashi
5. Rest of Sailor Moon stuff
6. Utena (movie)
And that Princess Mononoke showing Zac talked about is both hilarious and sad.

I have only ever bought one wall scroll myself, a GE one of Pretty Sammy via Right Stuf. I was really big into (and to some extent still am) Pretty Sammy in the early-mid-00s, and I got it because it was pretty much the only piece of merchandise related to it I saw on Right Stuf at that point.
I collected Cardcaptor Sakura singles as they came out. I think I may have first jumped into collecting the series around when there were three volumes out, and fell behind a few times really early on, but soon it got to be one I was always current on and anticipating the next volume.

She was just cast in Fuuka in the previous season, another show where singing is a major part of her role. She was Kaede in Idolmaster Cinderella Girls and I feel like there's been others over the years. Being pretty musically ignorant, I can't really say how good she is (I've enjoyed her work, including the OP themes you mentioned), but it does seem there is a perception on the Japanese production side of her as a singer regardless.

The girl who got a full house in a college campus for Princess Mononoke before demanding more money...cruel, but clever.

Early on, probably sometime in 1998, I ordered a couple of wall scrolls through the local comic shop. One was the Major from GITS and the other the crew from Tenchi Muyo in a beach scene. When I got them I was so disappointed with the quality I never hung them. After multiple attempts to give them away, last month I gave them to a local charity.
Shortly after the wall scroll debacle I found an oversize (27" by 38") poster by 1000 Editions in a comic shop in Durham NC. Again the Major from GITS this time sprawled out over a rusty hunk of iron machinery. It was a problem getting it back to my car as the paper was heavy enough it wouldn't roll. After that I ordered or bought when found just about every poster available for shows I liked. Add in the folded posters that came in magazines and artwork from calendars and I could probably paper the principal rooms in the house. Unfortunately only a dozen or so can be displayed at one time. Equally unfortunately, posters are apparently no longer a thing. There currently seem to be none available.
I bought all my shows on DVD singles as they came out, including the art boxes. Several years back I realized that I had perhaps a quarter of my collection in boxes in a closet as I had run out of shelf space. I took advantage of sales (mostly from TRSI) to replace the singles with season sets. The change to Bluray has only accelerated the procedure. The most recent set of singles/art box to go was Ultra Maniac.
Once when I was browsing the anime section of Best Buy an employee tried to recruit me for the local anime club. He assured me that they had at least one member who was 30. Since by that time I was twice that I turned him down. First magazines and later ANN have been my connections to anime fandom.

I think she's a decent singer, but the problem is that the lead role in Anonymous Noise requires a loud, powerful voice, and she just doesn't have that. Even on Fuuka, Lynn (who voiced the title character) sang circles around her.

Oh I know she voiced Kaede, who is my favorite character from Idolm@ster, CG or otherwise. I mean, how many other idols in anime are in their mid 20s? Probably some but the list likely isn't very long, at the very least compared to the teenaged ones, which to be fair is generally the target audience.

Yeah I think it is fair to say that her voice may not be best suited for the role, or the style of music they're going for. Her voice is better suited to pop than rock.
While I'm on the topic of Anonymous Noise, while it isn't great, I'm still watching it. Calling it bad shoujo is probably fair, but that hasn't stopped me so far. I wasn't surprised that in NO hurry to shout; was actually Yuzu's high school band cause that was pretty clear from the beginning but what I didn't know was Alice, the lead singer, was originally Yuzu, though since he can't sing, Miou did the voice and he just lip synced

As far as Hayami, Saori supposedly not being able to sing I think it boils down to a Seiyuu who is mostly known for doing J-Pop singing Rock music. It's a little rough but to say she can't sing is overly harsh. Hayami's performance as Kaede Takagaki The iDOLM@STER Cinderella Girls would be my exhibit A, along her performance of the song Orange Mint in Tsukimonogatari as to her obvious talent.
Also Hayami is normally cast as whispery voiced princess, shy girl, Yamato Nadeshiko, or Ojou type characters for the most part. The only "Boisterous" character for lack of a better term that come to mind.
Of the works I've seen her in is Ayase Aragaki in OreImo. Kaede as a second example but that was shown more in her love for bad puns than anything else.
Other than that to a character it's whispery and reserved delivery and characterization which is one of her vocal hallmarks. So to have her voice someone like Nino in Anonymous Noise may be out of her "sweet spot," yet the right emotional notes are hit.
Also the ragged delivery fits the emotional landscape of the series which honestly feels like PG-13 Nana But I digress

Not trying to "trigger" anyone, but I'm kinda glad the Homestuck fandom is dying out. Not saying Homestuck itself is bad. I just got some personal issues with it.

With all the "English dub voices don't fit" posts I've seen on anime forums, I think I should start bookmarking some of the pages for "Japanese voices don't fit" posts.
