Not gonna lie, I still don't see this apocalyptic downgrade in animation so many people seems to see.

If you ask me, sometimes I feel the anime its TOO well animated, this creates a metric ton of visual noise and its hard to concentrate in a sole thing and when its over you cannot remember anything that just happened.

The woes of the show are of narrative origin, my theory is that many people realize this but don't know how to express it and think the problem is: "That character was off model for 2.4 frames, battle scene ruined" instead of they not caring about the super cool battle scene because it involves characters they know nothing about, using a power system they don't understand.

^agree with everything you said. There are definitely some rough spots but it's still one of the best-looking shows of the season. The real issue is that y'know the animators are being horribly overworked to keep it that way. My issue is that I also can't seem to care about anything that's going on onscreen.

Considering the behind the scenes drama, I will say that the animators are insanely talented to give us such high quality animation despite the lack of time given to them.

I don't think this is accurate. I think most people unhappy with the series know that it's a failing of the narrative, just look at most of the complaints in the review thread. 90% of them are "I just don't care about these characters" or "that was a waste of a cool setup."

The complaints about the animation are based on two main factors: comparing it directly to the last season, or the knowledge that the animators are being ground into dust behind-the-scenes and being extra critical of what's being delivered as a result of that.

Nanami as a teenager kinda didn't make sense considering Kenjiro Tsuda's voice just doesn't fit into that body. Still, it's a shame the flashbacks could have been expanded a bit considering it felt lacking potential. Shoko really did nothing despite often being featured in the opening a lot.

Well, I haven't gone in that conversation for a while, I am 3 episodes behind and spoilers.

Everytime I am going to see it I see a new episode of another series I am watching and JJK has the lowest priority in my watch order right now.

I also, suppose, my opinion is warped since I was the first one to complain about the narrative woes at the beginning of the series and a lot to people got mad at me, now everybody does it apparently.
