My logic tells me this series is an excuse to get girls in swimsuits every week, I mean why would keeping coast towns and sea-lanes safe be a schoolgirl's dream job? They have a Navy guys and schoolgirls aren't clamoring to get into get into it. Too bad this show wasn't about Furries, which I thought might have been the case...

Another all-girls Slice of Life...I like the character designs and the marine theme is interesting but I'm burnt out on this kind of show. I've also decided to stop watching all-girl shows unless they prove themselves worthy.
It's got chardesign from the person behind Non Non Biyori. This show is going to be very tame with only a tiny bit of fanservice. |

Its the same for me also i stopped watching cute girls doing cute things anime, they make no sense to me at all i mean as the story goes they need a sizeable staff to protect the seas so where are all the males huh what they doing i wont be surprise if the whole staff is female, like the creators say to themselves what if we put cute girls in different situations.Look at Gakkougurashi! (School-Live!) they put cute girls in a zombie setting right,NOW you tell me in a whole co-ed school not one boy survive, not one, then to make matter worse they meet up other survivors who happens to be all female,i have noting against these shows but it gets so ridiculous to a point that i cant stand anymore |

Uh, guys, about that "cute girls doing cute things" thing you people love to prattle on about...
Tell me, how does a sinking Independence-class LCS fit anywhere in your preconceived notions? Also: The official site identifies the ship the protagonists serve on as a Kagero-class destroyer. This show's creator was also a scriptwriter and historical advisor for Girls und Panzer. Connect the dots. |
