I always like the jokes of all of Shinkai's movies until Your Name was, the one that got away and Hosoda's movies were not so subtly telling Japan to breed again and have families.

I really wish Belle had been able to proper comment on the abuse it portrayed, the ending was really poor for an otherwise exceptional movie. This was a great read and I definitely agree with the observations! My wife is a huge Hosoda fan and I've watched most of the movies with her but not all so it was fascinating seeing all these observations.

Thanks very much for your lovely feedback! You should definitely make the time to watch any you haven't seen. I don't think any of them are bad, they're all worth watching. |

I'm glad to have picked up the soundtracks of The Girl Who Leapt Through Time and Summer Wars also.
Fun also that I visited the National Museum of Tokyo: and also the Ueda to Bessho-Onsen line, featured in Summer Wars. |
