Seriously? Majestic Prince has some of the best mecha battles since... A really long time. Just wait until episode 14...

Attack on Titan was a show that I stopped watching at episode 11. Not because it's bad, far from it, it's just that the pacing suddenly got REALLY slow all of a sudden. I'm definitely going to finish it, but it's just not something I can wait every week for. I'll wait till it's finished, then marathon it.

Devil is a Part-timer was amazing. Moving on.

I just couldn't get into Flowers of Evil. Not because of the rotoscoping, but because it's just so dull. To be fair, I only watched 1 episode so I may pick it up again, but probably not anytime soon.

Karneval was...weird. I did enjoy it, but there were times when I was left confused. I knew WHAT was going on, I just didn't know WHY. The characters like to talk in a really convoluted way, to the point where I often said "What the hell are you talking about?" I've heard that the anime cut out a lot.

Devil Survivor 2? PLAY THE GAME! This adaptation was mediocre. Still, it was 13 episodes, I shouldn't have expected much. Not that 24 episodes would've been better.

Did you really dislike the new Hunter x Hunter arc so much that you didn't even write about it despite writing for Space Brothers?

Disappointing.

Where is Railgun? Ep 14 was a better episode than anything on this list.

Mushibugyo is another kind of underrated series that is better than half the stuff on this list.

There are a handful of shows missing that should be on this list.

I don't think she has watched season one of railgun and she dropped mushibugyo after 4 episodes

Makes me wonder how Summer will look, with a good ton of sequels.

I'm glad you're still reviewing Space Brothers. I hope they continue it for as long as they can.

I cannot get enough of Attack on Titan. I whole heartedly agree. It's the next big thing and rightfully so. I hope it continues to grow in support and get as much exposure as it possibly can. I want as many people to know about it as possible. (TOONAMI ALL THE WAY!)

I look forward to seeing what the make up for the new season will be.

Railgun Season 2 is not being legally streamed, therefore Bamboo wouldn't cover it anyway.

Actually funimation is streaming the series but lets leave it up to bamboo to do this. She is already swamped with huge amount of shows to watch already. Click on page 5 to see railgun-s seasons start up.

I stand corrected. I didn't see it on Crunchyroll so assumed that no-one was streaming it.

This is what I've saying for some time as well. They cut out a lot from the manga.

The first 3 are defenetly the ones standing out for me by FAR
i would put Space bro's at 1 for as long as it airs it really has become one of my favourie Anime of all time !!!

as for Flowers of evil it finally something diffent i really liked the artistic approach unfortunatly it was doomed to fail after the first season which tells me more about the awfull taste of the typical anime fan then mine it's like go read the manga now again ... i might want to now but it shoudn't be that way.

Attack on Titan no surprise about everyone likes it though i was surprised it's apparently Shonen which kinda caught me off guard Violence Action Drama yes Very Happy

Now Where getting to what i'm revering to as the fodder ... I only botherd to watch one episode of Devil survivor the Animation it was that typical otaku series agian it wasn't a complete waste of my time but i still haven't seen more then 1 episode

So conculsion the first 3 where BIG WINS the rest not worted checking out in my opinion.

It is also running on Hulu but yeah legal streaming exists. Razz

It would be interesting to read someone's take of Railgun from someone who hasn't dealt with any of the original Index series.

This run of Space Brothers has been pretty good, but the Sharon arc has stepped it up to the level of the series' best.

I place Maou-sama as my number one anime. Kyojin Onslaught is good, but I wouldn't let its fun factor outweigh the style and sheer quality that Maou-sama has. Its characters and writing are at least a level above Attack no Eoten. Gargantia (my number three) was better, but not as good as Maou-sama. Funnily enough, I thought the slower-paced relaxation episodes in the middle were the most focused and effective. Transvestites stupidity aside, I feel episode 5 in particular was one of the best.

Number two is Aiura, which is just solid and has excellent animation, backgrounds and strong, effective characterisation, storytelling and humour. The last episode in particular was amazing. All those references back to the first episode, that direction - just everything was pitch-perfect. Yuyushiki was also good, but not on Aiura's level. Muromi was great, too.

Majestic Prince's fights are excellent, they blow Valvrave's out of the water. I've actually warmed up to Majestic Prince's story. I initially felt its characters were written too self-consciously quirkily, but I've come to stop rolling my eyes any time they say anything. Valvrave's insanity was probably more entertaining, though. Devil Survivor 2 had style, but was overall lacking. I basically agree with what Bamboo wrote. Arata felt like it should have turned good but never did. Crime Edge overall was meh for me, although the fetishistic stuff and general air of edginess were well done.

Nyaruko was about as good as its first season, Oreimo not as good. Oreimo's characterisation and plotting are solid harem light novel-tier, not bad but far away from good. The first season got the amusing references and parodies - the best of the series. Having finished the light novels, I'm looking forward to the animated conclusion of the story.

Henneko seemed to flirt with the idea of being good and eventually decided against it. The school being Italy arc was retarded, the ones around it were pretty good. Similar story with Teen SNAFU, except there the whole show and its pretentious hurr-so-mature air bugged me. I flat-out disagree that Flowers of Evil is relateable or realistic, although it is fantastically directed and artistically wonderful. Maybe I just feel that it's the crucial bit less believable than Bamboo does with her statement that it's "a little on the extreme end of relate-ability". As unconvincing as I found him, Flowers of Edge's whiny emo-brat character was at least tolerable. For an example of how to do a socially inept loner character well, see the currently-airing Watamote. Of course, that's much, much funnier, so I might be biased in that respect.

Bottom 5, in order of terribleness: Date A Live (whether assessing its parody side or its serious side, it takes itself seriously, is never funny as is generally bad), Zettai Bouei Leviathan (my pick for OP of the season - screw Guren no Yamiya's wimpy singer, Hajimari no Resolution's vocals have twice the balls and a riff Judas Priest wishes they'd written), Photo Kano (even the incest episode was shit), Sparrow's Hotel (can you at least cook this abortion before you put it on my plate?) and Cyclops Shoujo Saipu (there are basically no jokes in this "comedy").
