Not like it wasn't obvious before, but this really is Breath of Fire's swan song (for me personally, the swan song was Dragon Quarter, but I digress). Amazing how Capcom took their signature RPG series and just crapped all over it. Then again, it's Capcom, what property of theirs don't they eventually bring to ruin with their poor decisions? I am aware the mobile and portable market in Japan has swelled considerably in sales and is the reason that there have been more releases on these platforms, but really now.

Ick, BoF 6 is still dogcrap, an indie look and staples won't save it from what it truly is, an overglorified money pit. Capcom should be ashamed of themselves, no one asked for BoF 6 in this condition, the fans wanted BoF 6 on a console or handheld. Now Valkyrie Drive: Bhikkhuni will be great (I don't have high hopes for the anime though, remember Senran Kagura wasn't a great anime at all but the games are awesome), it seem to be what Senran Kagura should've been.

The Americans or The European fans who scoff at mobile games?

Also Todd Ken Levine didn't leave Irrational games the studio was closed down and everyone except Levine and 15 other people were handed their pink slips.

I really do hope that we don't have to wait too long for DR3. I'm fine waiting a little bit for Ultra Despair Girls since it's just a spinoff but for a main game I don't think I'd have the same amount of patience.

I have no idea who Ken Levine is, but Inafune leaving Capcom never really bothered me. Kojima leaving Konami is interesting. I suspect Metal Gear might go the way of Silent Hill now and be sold off to less than desirable studios.

Gravity Rush as the best thing on the PlayStation Vita

Yeah it's good and unique but saying a game made just to show off the console's capabilities and featuring a childish story like that is the best... well it's sad no matter how you look at it.
If we're talking about things released on PSV (and I mean for anything else and never before) I'm more on Uncharted Golden Abyss and Freedom Wars.
The problem with this console is that Japan released tons of games for it but most of them are, well Rolling Eyes , not suited to a western audience.

Would you kindly play Bioshock?

Excellent interview!

I hope things work out better with Kojima and MGS5 (also Silent Hill I guess) than with Ueda and The Last Guardian.

Or an even better choice in System Shock 2.

I don't understand the love of the Breath of Fire series. I only played 3,but it was such painfully average RPG. The story and characters were generic as hell. And it had a lot of annoying in it,compared to other RPG's of the time.

So this is what they get out of BOF, after how long? So they went the mobile route. I thought they were going to go with the MMORPG element. I'm saying it now based on all the disappointment on the interwebs. Capcom you've failed us. You can't ask folks what they want to see and haven't delivered. I mean how many RE reboots or HD release can they milk to keep them afloat. Folks have been asking for stuff for years. Now you have certain developers moving on and forming their own companies and delivering. Now you want to catch up. Oh well.

As much as I want Viewtiful Joe 3 I'm not holding my breath and stomping my feet on not getting a sequel. Especially when the none of the games were exactly huge sellers.

Jury is still out on Keiji Inafune, Atsushi Inaba, & Shinji Mikami

I still prefer Gravity Rush, even going on storyline alone. Uncharted is well-acted but routinely blockbuster in tone, and Freedom Wars lacks compelling characters for its premise. Gravity Rush feels like something from the Mobius-inspired comic scene, and that's a rarer find in video games.

Fans seem to like Breath of Fire IV and Dragon Quarter the best. I can't speak to IV much, but Dragon Quarter is a really interesting take on RPGs. It's replay-driven and time-based, but not in a way that bores you.

Then again, I'm a sucker for games with subterranean worlds.
